Cheryl Deppe

I am a well-seasoned manager in sales and marketing and overall general management, with a mixed bag of experience that includes, Healthcare, Legal Publishing, the Arts, Hospitality, FMCG and of course foodservice.

As a native Californian, I was always drawn to New Zealand. Once I visited, I was hooked and stayed for over 20 years. I am a proud dual citizen, fortunate enough to have two countries I call my home, and I am equally comfortable in a posh city as I am in a paddock!

I joined GreenMount Foods 5 years ago and launched the glaces and stocks into the US Food service market. I count myself lucky as I am fortunate to work in all aspects of the business, from the importer to the end user, and all those in between.

Lobster

I've always loved everything seafood. But, my absolute favourite is Maine Lobster. Sweet, yet still full of the flavour of the ocean, nothing beats it.

The best dining experience is sitting on a picnic table overlooking the ocean, with a freshly steamed lobster, some drawn butter and a glass or white wine-heaven.

This dish combines sweet lobster meat with my other favourite food, pasta. Delicious filled parcels bathed in a flavourful lobster stock, this bowl of goodness makes my heart sing and my taste buds go wild!
